Description
Summary:A study investigated the ice regime of the Sea of Azov and climate in the early 21st century. Analysis of climate variations in southern parts of Russia, in particular, ice coverage of the Sea of Azov, suggests that onset of ice in the region can be forecasted. The proposed method for calculation of ice thickness change in a fresh water basin describes this process adequately.
