Summary:The Srednyaya Padma deposit occupies a special place among gold deposits due to the precious metal uraniumvanadium mineralization. It is located in the Onega structure confined to the NW extending Tambitsa zone of foldfault deformations that controls localization of ore bearing metasoma tites and hydrothermal sediments (Fig. 2). The exten sive exploration drilling and subsurface mining work carried out by the IndustrialGeological Company Nevskgeologiya with small scale mapping of epige netic alterations revealed that in this region they are superposed on Lower Proterozoic dolomites.
