Parachlamydia has been identified as potential causes of human pneumonia ( Greub 2009 ) and there is evidence for P acanthamoeba to cross the human placenta to the unborn fetus ( Baud and others 2009 ). [...]as with other potential zoonotic agents, care must be taken when handling potentially infective abortion tissue.
