Description
Summary:Thin films of semiconducting and unsorted carbon nanotubes (CNT) are prepared on a transparent and flexible cyclic olefin polymeric substrate. The CNT biocompatibility is analyzed using L929 mouse fibroblasts and Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells. Highly conductive poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) films are also tested on the same substrate as an alternative conductive polymer for electrode material. The cell morphology and viability are recorded on the different material systems. This leads to the possibility of integrating a complete solution-processable electronic sensor, combined with the benefit of a flexible substrate, which shows better response due to its soft interface to biological matter.
