Reflection boundary conditions for random walk models of dispersion in non-gaussian turbulence

Several methods of treating boundaries in random walk models of dispersion in flows with skew velocity distributions are considered. It is shown that only one of these methods is completely consistent with the requirement that the model should support a steady state distribution of particles which i...

Description
Summary:Several methods of treating boundaries in random walk models of dispersion in flows with skew velocity distributions are considered. It is shown that only one of these methods is completely consistent with the requirement that the model should support a steady state distribution of particles which is uniform in space. This is illustrated with numerical simulations.
