Summary: | The UK Institute for Environment and Health (IEH) has taken up the study of health impacts associated with current environmental levels of chromium. While full toxicological risk assessments will not be conducted, "scoping exercises" will be conducted in order to identify generalized exposures and indicators of which substances are of concern in the UK population. Data on environmental levels of chromium, persistence and bioaccumulation, estimates of total personal exposure, health effects, and mechanisms of toxicity will be evaluated. |
