Summary: | Stable beliefs affect the need for self-expression on the Internet? When these beliefs are associated with different choices of consumption, such as preference for organic food, there is a relationship with the self-expression? This study aims intended to examine whether stable beliefs as personal values relate to consumer attitudes front to organic food and the motivation for self-expression on the internet. For both held an online survey with 155 respondents. Personal values were measured with the scale Portrait Values Questionnaire Schwartz, the motivation for self-expression was measured with the Consumption-focused self-expression word of mouth, and to consumer attitudes to food front Organic used the scale Hoppe, De Barcellos, Vieira and Matos. Two research assumptions were created to guide the study: the more values associated with the Self-promotion greater the motivation to perform mouth to mouth on the Internet and less positive attitude towards organic food; and the more values associated with transcendence and Openness to change, more positive attitude related to the consumption of organic food. |
