Summary: | In this paper, Helmholtz equation for large core tapered fiber has been solved by using beam propagation method. The evolution of Gaussian input field, electric field and electric power at different linear tapering length have been studied. As an importance of adiabatic optical field transmission along tapered length, minimum tapering length has been obtained for this great task. Also, because of importance of transverse electric field distribution at the output of the tapered segment, the minimum tapering length for this purpose has been obtained. |
