Preparation of Li sub(3)PS sub(4) solid electrolyte using ethyl acetate as synthetic medium
A precursor for Li sub(3)PS sub(4) solid electrolyte was successfully prepared by reaction of Li sub(2)S and P sub(2)S sub(5) in ethyl acetate. The precursor was composed of Li sub(3)PS sub(4) and ethyl acetate in a molar ratio of 1:2, as determined by thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis...

Summary: | A precursor for Li sub(3)PS sub(4) solid electrolyte was successfully prepared by reaction of Li sub(2)S and P sub(2)S sub(5) in ethyl acetate. The precursor was composed of Li sub(3)PS sub(4) and ethyl acetate in a molar ratio of 1:2, as determined by thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA). Upon drying at 160 degree C, the precursor decomposed to form crystalline Li sub(3)PS sub(4) with a high ionic conductivity of 3.3 10 super(- 4) S cm super(- 1) and low activation energy of about 31 kJ mol super(- 1). |
