Summary: | The Induction Machine (IM) is most present in several applications with non-stationary conditions (NSC). The offshore wind turbine, wind turbine generator and all renewable energy converting systems, where IM is essential, are the most relevant examples. The reliability of those systems and their availability are the important key of good service and lifetime prolongation. That requires the prediction of maintenance operations and to reduce their cost. In such situations, detection and diagnosis of fault require advanced signal processing techniques. A new method using Gabor transform is implemented to detect Rotor Electrical Fault (REF) in IM. The concept is validated with good experimental results. The purpose is the identification of ERF. A Digital Signal Processing is used to implement the proposed method. |
