Obama Shortens Sentences for Additional 102 Prisoners; President has pointed to criminal justice disparities in commuting record number of sentences
Mr. Obama's commutations so far in his presidency outnumber those by the last 11 presidents combined, White House Counsel Neil Eggleston said in a blog post Thursday, adding the commutations were granted to "individuals serving unduly harsh sentences."
