Brain Metastasis Prediction by Transcriptomic Profiling in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer

Micro-Abstract We investigated expression of 29,369 gene transcripts in primary tumor samples from 119 patients with advanced triple-negative breast cancer to identify genes with different expression between patients with and without brain metastases (BM). Our results indicate that analysis based on...

Description
Summary:Micro-Abstract We investigated expression of 29,369 gene transcripts in primary tumor samples from 119 patients with advanced triple-negative breast cancer to identify genes with different expression between patients with and without brain metastases (BM). Our results indicate that analysis based on expression of gene transcripts from primary tumor does not allow prediction of BM development in this population.
