Summary:Patients in Haiti with HIV can have similar survival rates to those initiating HIV treatment in the USA during the early phase of antiretroviral therapy; 3 however, the strike officially lasting until July 31, 2016, has adversely affected patient care. HIV clinic services for patients on antiretroviral therapy remain stable, partly because of continued funding of staff.
