Summary: | Despite a current groundswell calling for changes in the law ( RSPCA 2016 ), while the current law still exists there is an urgent need to ensure standardisation of assessment and interpretation of both the anatomy and behaviour of dogs, that may, in the absence of accurate assessment in both areas, be needlessly euthanased or, arguably worse in terms of mental state, spend the rest of their lives in a muzzle and on a short lead in public. |
