Summary: | Analytic solutions are presented for the groundwater flow in an unconfined aquifer under seasonal artificial recharge schemes of variable duration. The results can be used for a preliminary assessment of the response of groundwater to artificial recharge. Variations in storage and outflow from the aquifer, apart from the siting of recharge, are also highly dependent on both the aquifer characteristics and the duration of recharge. |
