Summary: | In the present study, single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) were synthesized from fermented tapioca. The SWCNT were tested for cytotoxicity at various concentrations in neuroblastoma cells. These SWCNTs caused cytotoxic effect when administrated at higher concentrations (500 mg/ml) rather than at lower concentrations as shown by a reduced cell viability. The findings revealed that CNT synthesized from fermented tapioca affect the normal growth of cells, in agreement with previous studies of CNT interaction with cells. . |
