Summary:Abstract An 18-year-old-man came to the hospital because of one day of chest pain typical of pericarditis. He had had an upper respiratory infection 10 days earlier. His electrocardiograms indicated evolving pericarditis. His echocardiogram showed mild, diffuse left ventricular hypokinesis, and his troponin I peaked at 47.5 ng/mL. Thus, he had myopericarditis.
