Ferrocene–Triazole Combination as a Benchmark for the Electrochemical Detection of Noncovalent Halogen‐Bonding Interactions
The synthesis and sensing properties of a triferrocene–bis(iodotriazole) are described. In general, halogen‐bonding (XB) receptor 3 undergoes remarkable cathodic shifts of the two redox peaks in the presence of several oxoanions. Summary: | The synthesis and sensing properties of a triferrocene–bis(iodotriazole) are described. In general, halogen‐bonding (XB) receptor 3 undergoes remarkable cathodic shifts of the two redox peaks in the presence of several oxoanions. These perturbations, which are attributable to noncovalent halogen‐bonding interactions, are slightly smaller than those observed for the parent hydrogen‐bonding (HB) receptor 4 with the same oxoanions.
A triferrocene–bis(iodotriazole) was synthesized. Its electrochemical sensing properties were studied by observing the cathodic shifts of the redox peaks in the presence of several oxoanions. |
