Summary: | Purpose: A review was conducted to study the effects of physical exercise by patients with lung and colorectal cancer. Subjects and Methods: The authors searched PubMed, PEDro, and CINAHL up to April 24th 2013. Two authors independently extracted the data. Results: Twenty-nine trials were systematically reviewed. The results suggest that exercise is effective at improving the cardiorespiratory fitness and quality of life of the patients with lung and colorectal cancer. Conclusion: This analysis helps describe the characteristics of cancer rehabilitation programs which can increase cancer patients' cardiorespiratory fitness and quality of life. |
