Description
Summary:[...]medical professionals have a stigma against the use of social media for medical purposes: in a survey by Bosslet et al., 68% of medical students, residents, and practicing physicians viewed interacting with patients on social media as “ethically unacceptable” for personal or patient-care related reasons [5]. Unfortunately, the patient had eloped. Because we knew her name and a few other personal identifiers gathered during triage, we were able to find the patient on Facebook with reasonable certainty.
