A test of the low marginal variance (LMV) theory, in Leptospermum scoparium (Myrtaceae)

The theory that for a particular species, within-population genetic variance will be lower in sites geographically peripheral to the species' range is tested. To test the theory, ecological marginality, rather than geographical peripherality, is examined.
