Taken together, our results indicate that myofilament-dependent increase in cytosolic Ca buffering shortens early repolarization via a Ca-dependent, NCX-mediated mechanism, resulting in AP triangulation and AP instability, both of which are well-established predictors of increased arrhythmia risk (5).
