Because more jobs mean more people becoming self-sufficient, employers must be encouraged by legislatures to offer more jobs. Some of the recommended ways to motivate employers include contracting with private, for-profit firms to place welfare recipients on payroll, asking industry associations to help develop sector-based work preparation and training programs and working with temporary employment agencies. |
