Summary: | In the ultrafiltration (UF) of disperse dye solutions using ceramic membrane, backflushing is necessary to minimize the formation of fouling by disperse dye, and to enhance the permeate flux. In this work, the effects of backflushing on the ultrafiltration performance and decolorization were investigated. In the optimum backflushing condition, the permeate flux increased slightly and the filtration performance was stable during filtration process. |
