Description
Summary:It is established that the hydrodynamics of a pseudo-fluidized bed (PB), and consequently the temperature and concentration fields in a PB, are mainly determined by the hydrodynamics of the whole chemical technology system (CTS) within which a PB functions. It is noted that a PB within the composition of some technological device is a sub-system of the whole CTS and therefore it is subject to its system properties that are determined by a quantitative, functional dependence of actual PB scales of a hydrodynamic nature on primary parameters of the PB itself and on primary hydrodynamic parameters of the whole PB.Transfer of quantitative information about PB hydrodynamics, and consequently about temperature and concentration fields within a bed from one piece of equipment to another is almost impossible due to the abundance of similarity criteria and the small number of degrees of freedom for providing their simultaneous equality. An algorithm is proposed for selecting commercial PB equipment in combination with a CTS.
