Summary:A new pill-beetle species, Curimopsis kolovi sp. n., is described from the sandy desert on the left bank of the Ili River, southern Kazakhstan. This species differs from the closely related C. monticola Franz, 1967 and C. medvedevi Tshernyshev, 2002 in the 2-segmented antennal club, brown body, and shape of the aedeagus.
