The objective of the certificate program is to provide opportunities for graduate students to develop the personal and professional skills required to effectively lead and conduct plant pest risk assessment and management on local, national, and international levels. Sixteen graduate credit hours are required for the certificate, including a capstone course (Principles of Plant Pest Risk Assessment and Management), a colloquium, elective courses (technical and policy) and internships.
