Summary:Willis then looked at formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded esophageal adenocarcinoma samples and found that mVIM was even more diagnostically sensitive for esophageal cancer compared with colon cancer, being detected in approximately 90% of Barrett's esophagus patient biopsies (2 ). In reduced representation bisulfite screening, an established discovery platform- bisulfite conversion- deaminates unmethylated cytosines into uracils.When methylated, cytosines are protected from this conversion and so are unchanged.
