Summary:Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is the most performed surgical procedure worldwide. Long-term outcomes report that up to 30% of patients require revisional surgery and re-sleeve gastrectomy (rLSG) is one of the revisional procedures available. The aim was to update the outcomes of a cohort of rLSG at 52 months. This study reports the 52-month follow-up of a cohort of 19 patients previously published after 24-month follow-up. Sixteen patients completed the follow-up. Nine patients complained of GERD symptoms after 36 months. Five patients were converted to laparoscopic RYGB. Two patients were converted to a laparoscopic BPD-DS for weight regain 4 patients are asymptomatic with stable weight. On the basis of our disappointing results, it can be said that rLSG is not currently offered as revisional procedure in both centers.
