This cross-sectional study was conducted from June 2012 to September 2014 at the Mugla Sitki Kocman University Training and Research Hospital, Mugla, Turkey, and comprised mentally healthy patients aged 18 or more treated at the emergency department for trauma to at least two body parts or who had more than one long bone fractureData was collected using the patient information form and the patient follow-up form. SPSS 18 was used to analyse the data.
