Summary: | Night work is not only a work performed at night. It has also to be considered as a specifically organized work with its own duties and moving tasks in a different relational context. Primary preventive assessments regarding work schedules and occupational associated constraints have to be considered beside family potential consequences. Taking account of the consensually accepted impact of night-shift work on health, particularly on sleep, we recommend an annual medical visit for night-shift workers. We also recommend to declare the night shift diseases to the Regional committee of occupational diseases via the "alinea 4". |
