Summary: | Application of satellite and aircraft data for the KUREX-91 is considered for studies of vegetation indices, retrievals of vegetation parameters and crop yield productivity assessements. Images obtained by a Multispectral Scanning System (MSS) operated on board a high-altitude (TU-134) aircraft are used to demonstrate main stages of data processing and thematic interpretation of the aircraft products. Main scientific issues are outlined in light of the KUREX-91 cooperation between Russian and American participants. |
