Description
Summary:In preparation for the PHEBUS FP FPT4 Debris Experiment, qualification tests were performed for the French Institut de Protection et de Surete Nucleaire (IPSN) at the Paul Scherrer Institute on filter media in order to characterize the filtration and the aerosol loading capabilities. A total of eight tests were performed at room temperature on PORAL-3 and 5, PALL cartridges and two filter assemblies comprising 6 cartridges. Two tests were performed using one PORAL-5 and one PALL-filter assembly with a temperature gradient along the filter assembly. TiO2 aerosols were used in cold tests and a mixture of TiO2+CsI in vapor form were used for the high temperature tests. The carrier gas was Nitrogen at 80 Nl/mn.
