Summary: | Geological features and architectural styles found in the Tomsk area are examined to identify factors influencing indoor radon levels. Indoor radon concentrations in Tomsk dwellings are shown to depend on building type, occurrence of faults underneath a dwelling, and floor level, the latter being important only for buildings without slab foundations. Indoor radon levels as measured by the workers of the Radiation Control Laboratory at Tomsk Polytechnic University within three recent years are reported. |
