Summary:Postadenotonsillectomy velopharyngeal incompetence/insufficiency/dysfunction (VPI) is an uncommon but potentially surgically challenging problem. We report a child without cleft palate who developed severe palatoglossal arch cicatrix and VPI after adenotonsillectomy, and describe bilateral palatoglossal arch z-plasty to restore palatal function and speech.
