Summary:Aim The aim of this multi‐centre cohort study was to investigate the association of non‐surgical periodontal therapy (NST) on the oral health‐related quality of life (OHRQoL) in general and related to severity of periodontal disease and treatment modalities. Materials and Methods One hundred and seventy‐two patients with periodontal disease from 18 dental practices were measured before and 6–8 weeks after NST using a standardized and validated OHRQoL instrument (Oral Health Impact Profile‐G14, OHIP‐G14). Another questionnaire was filled out by the dentists to evaluate the influence of treatment modalities and disease severity.
