Summary:Vision may be thought of as the long-term picture of what you want your organization to become. For many nonprofit leaders, vision has remained a vague concept with little obvious utility in the planning process. Vision should not be confused with mission. Mission is a disciplinary device, establishing clear boundaries. Vision inspires and motivates. Strategic issues are opportunities to narrow the gap between the vision and the mission.
