Description
Summary:A speech entitled The Future of the Republican Party by Georgette Mosbacher, best-selling author and CEO, Borghese Corp, delivered to University Club in New York, NY, Dec 11, 2008, is presented. The big debate now in the Republican Party is over whether it needs to move to the center to be relevant or go back to its roots, back to the party it was and to the principles Ronald Reagan canonized and Newt Gingrich outlined in the Contract with America in 1994. Mosbacher is of the school of thought that there is no need to reinvent the party. What it has to do is return to its roots. The party doesn't need to apologize for its values -- the values that represent its greatness. Those values, which Mosbacher believes are the true American values, built this country, and Mosbacher believes they represent the cornerstone of Republicanism.
