The enthalpy of formation of hafnium dioxide

A discrepancy in the literature has been resolved and the standard enthalpy of formation of hafnium dioxide, HfO 2, has been determined by oxygen-bomb combustion calorimetry to be ΔH f o(HfO 2, monoclinic, 298.15 K) = −(267.12±0.39) kcal th mol −1.
