Summary:•In our study, R-peak time was found to be prolonged in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)-infected patients as compared to healthy subjects.•The detailed analysis showed that there was a inverse correlation between R-peak time and CD4 count and there was a correlation between R-peak time and hsCRP.•This suggests that prolongation of R-peak time may relate to the severity of the disease in HIV-infected patients.
