Summary:A new fluid to fluid heat exchanger with the following characteristics has been developed: Effective, compact, pressure resistant, acceptable pressure drop and has low weight. This new type of heat exchanger consists of a flat oval aluminium tube which has been twisted around its own longitudinal axis. By doing so, the fluids inside as well as outside will be forced to change position and a turbolar flow pattern is likely to occur and a better heat transfer coefficient will be obtained. By twisting the flat oval tube the surface will be somewhat extended.
