Description
Summary:This research is concerned with providing scientific evidence for environmental, transport and land use policy development. It is specifically concerned with the generation of motor vehicle emissions information to assist in air quality planning. Air quality is a key issue confronting environmental policy makers [1] and the major contributor of many air pollutants is emissions from road transport [2]. Within road transport the emissions from motorways are not known nor are the contributions of various types of vehicle traffic on motorways. This paper discusses means to generate spatially resolved estimates of air pollutant emissions for each link of motorway in Great Brita
