Description
Summary:Prior to surgery, she had previously received numerous epidural injections, physical therapy, and analgesic medications without relief of her symptomatology. Opioids are the mainstay of perioperative analgesia for spinal surgery patients, although there are significant benefits of using an opioid-sparing approach to acute pain management to help reduce hospital length of stay and provide more effective analgesia. Future studies need to address TLIP/ESPB impact on key patient outcomes.Financial disclosures None.Author contributions Schwartz, Ruben DO: interpretation of data, drafting, and revision of article.
