Magnetic hyperfine field in the Heusler alloys Co sub(2)YZ (Y identical with V, Nb, Ta, Cr; Z identical with Al, Ga)

The magnetic hyperfine field (mhf) acting on a super(181)Ta probe dilutely substituted at the non-magnetic transition element site has been investigated in the Heusler alloys Co sub(2)VGa, Co sub(2)NbGa, Co sub(2)TaAI and Co sub(2)CrAI by TDPAC measurements utilizing the 133-482 keV gamma-gamma casc...

Description
Summary:The magnetic hyperfine field (mhf) acting on a super(181)Ta probe dilutely substituted at the non-magnetic transition element site has been investigated in the Heusler alloys Co sub(2)VGa, Co sub(2)NbGa, Co sub(2)TaAI and Co sub(2)CrAI by TDPAC measurements utilizing the 133-482 keV gamma-gamma cascade in super(181)Ta following the beta super(-) decay of super(181)Hf. The results are discussed in terms of the mhf systematics in the cobalt-based Heusler alloys, and are compared with theoretical predictions based on the Blandin and Campbell model.
