Quantitative piezospectroscopy of group V impurities in Germanium
The deformation potential constant, ξ u, of the lowest conduction band of germanium is found to be 16.4 ± 0.2 eV from the splitting of the 2p 0 line of arsenic impurity under uniaxial stress. The same value is found for Ξ u of the lower ground state.
