Summary: | Bright adherent tarnish-resistant Sb-Co alloys could be electroplated from aqueous solutions containing citrate complexes of the two metals. Electrodeposits ranging in composition from 1.3% Sb to pure antimony were deposited by varying the composition of the solution and the current density. An increase in current density decreased the percentage of antimony in the deposit. The effects of agitation, temperature and citric acid content of the solution on the composition and appearance of the alloy deposit and its current efficiency are reported. |
