Summary:The present study investigates the behaviour of the discharging process associated with the FeTiH sub(1.6) and Mg sub(2)NiH sub(4) metal hydrides, using the heat conduction model for metal hydride reaction beds. A computer program is applied to print out the temperature and metal hydride composition as well as the cumulative amount of discharged hydrogen for different geometries and fluid flow regimes.
