Summary: | Dear Editor, We are really thankful to Jouffroy R et al. for re-evaluating impact of shock index (SI) guided management of septic shock in pre-hospital setting, the good age old yet simple tool, to assess the mortality outcome in at 28 days [1]. Authors did this study on patients with sepsis without estimating lactate because of lack of availability pre-hospital setups. Furthermore, use of steroid in adequately fluid resuscitated and vasopressor resistant shock is also an important modality to improve outcome as per survival sepsis guideline (SSG) which authors followed in this study. |
