Description
Summary:Spectra of Nova Sgr 1982 have been obtained at the end of October, nearly one month after its discovery, with the one-prism spectrograph equipped with a Carnegie-RCA S-20 image tube (dispersion 60 Å mm₁¹ at Hγ) at the Cassegrain focus of the 122-cm telescope. The spectra are characterized by wide emission lines of H, O I, N ii, Fell. They indicate that the nova was in its late transition phase. Identification of the lines recorded from λλ4100 to 8500 are given in Table I.
