New Types of Anodes for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction in Acidic Solution

The authors made IrO sub 2 /TiO sub 2 /Ti electrodes by decomposition of IrCl sub 4 solution on an oxidized Ti plate. Current density is highest at low calcining temps., resulting in high porosity. Calcination at 500 degrees C produces durable, high-quality electrodes.
